The resin-based LCD 3D printers come in two forms so as to offer both a budget-friendly option, in the Anycubic Photon Mono 4K, as well as the first 9.25-inch 6K desktop model in the Anycubic Photon Mono X 6K. Both offer high-quality print capabilities with large print areas and universal resin compatibility.

Anycubic Photon Mono X 6K

The Anycubic Photon Mono X 6K comes with a massive 9.25-inch LCD screen and that’s backed by a print volume of a whopping 9.6 x 7.8 x 4.8 inches, making it 247% larger than 6.08-inch 3D printers. Quality is also key here as the resolution is an impressive 5,760 x 3,600 pixels and up to 34 microns. The superb 350:1 black and white contrast screen means this is able to print very sharp edges and corners easily. Speed is also a big sell here with 15 bright LED lights that allow this to print a 12mm garage kit in just 1.5 hours. That’s a big saving of over 4.5 hours compared to how long it would take on the standard Anycubic Photon. The adjustable light power regulation mean this printer can support standard 405 UV resins as well as other wavelengths too.

Anycubic Photon Mono 4K

The Anycubic Photon Mono 4K is the smaller and more affordable version of this top-end 3D printer. It does mean you have a smaller print area, at 6.5 x 5.2 x 3.1 inches at 4K resolution.  This also features improved print speeds, quality and capacity compared to the original model. The Anycubic Photon Mono X 6K is available from Nov 15 from $599, before retiling at $659. The Anycubic Photon Mono 4K is also available from Nov 15 from $269 for the first 1,000 units, then it will be $289 at retail.
